New York State Electronic Filing Regulations Require Driver License Information for 2016 Individual Income Tax Return
Following the lead of the IRS to protect individual taxpayers from identity theft, New York State has add an additional layer of security to it’s electronic filing process by requiring the inclusion of driver’s license or state-issued ID information on all electronically filed New York State individual income tax returns.
